Otte Meadows

Otte Meadows is an 133-acre, town open space parcel that includes open fields, wetlands and woodlands off of Parmelee Hill, David and Saw Mill roads in Durham. It includes a 1.7 mile round-trip trail. Its uses include hiking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing.There is a wetland loop trail that is optimal for birding. Seasonal hunting is allowed by permit only, and one of the property's fields is hayed annually. Parking is available on the corner of Parmelee Hill and David roads. There is also a small parking area that abuts the bridge over Parmelee Brook on Saw Mill Road. Otte Meadows is open from sunrise to sunset and any type of motorized vehicle use is prohibited.
