The purpose of this Committee is to strengthen Durham’s identity as a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. The Committee will identify programmatic, community, and legislative practices with regard to race, color, ethnicity, religious creed, age, sex, national origin, ancestry, status as a veteran, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, familial and marital status, pregnancy, or physical and mental disability.

Duties:
- Organize and support events, programs and opportunities to educate, promote and encourage diversity and inclusion.
- Work in conjunction with any committees that Regional School District #13 has or will form regarding equity, diversity and inclusion .
- Report to the Board of Selectmen at least biannually and shall otherwise make recommendations for action as frequently as it deems appropriate.
