VOTER REGISTRATION
If you wish to vote in the November 7th Durham Municipal Election, the deadline for mail-in voter registration is October 31, 2023. As such, the Durham Registrar of Voters office will be open on October 31, 2023 from 9:00 am through 8:00 pm to accommodate in-person voter registration.
In addition to the Durham residency requirement, you must also be a United States citizen and be 18 years of age on or before November 7, 2023.
If you turn 18 AFTER October 31, 2023 (but before November 8th), there will be a limited registration session held in the Durham Registrar’s office on November 6, 2023 from 9:00am - 5:00 pm to accommodate. Residency requirements still apply.
This year, Durham residents can register to vote on Election Day itself (November 7, 2023) at the Durham Community Center, but the process will require additional identification and time. We urge new voters to attend the open voter registration session on October 31, 2023.
