Welcome to our 2020 Season!!!!

The Durham Farmers’ Market has been running for over a decade on our beautiful town green.  Come down and visit us on Thursdays 3:00-6:30pm, from May14th-September 10th.  Here you will find CT grown and CT made products with a wide variety to choose from.  We have full season vendors as well as guest vendors so check back often to see what’s new.  You can also visit us on Facebook or sign up on the town’s page for email notifications and subscribe to the farmers’ market.  See bottom of the page for hyperlinks.

Our season will be a little bit different until guidelines are removed and we learn more about the Covid-19.

  • Our vendors are briefed via email and prior to the market opening by the market master, present for the duration of every market.

  • We also like to note that those guidelines have impacted the way we run our market until conditions improve.

  • This is not a time for gathering at our market, nor do we encourage it.

  • Entertainment is on hold and we don't have seating areas.

  • What we do provide is a place for our community to purchase items in an outdoor environment. For some, this is their means of getting what they need. Some people will not find anything they need here. And not everyone has the means to stock up or have the room.

Here are some of the guidelines we ask you to follow while coming to our market:

  • Maintain distancing. Please allow 6 feet between you and others.

  • Face coverings are strongly encouraged when coming to the market.  Our vendors will all be wearing face coverings and gloves.

  • While someone is at the booth, please wait behind the line until they are finished with their purchase.

  • Please allow our vendors to select items you are purchasing. We want to minimize the amount of handling of products.

  • Please make your purchases and move to the next booth. We want everyone to make purchases in a timely manner.

  • All vendors accept cash and some accept card. Whenever possible, bring a variety of bills so you can provide exact change. Vendors do sanitize between customers.

  • Please do not come if you are feeling sick. Have someone else come to the market for you.

  • At this time, any food purchased at the market will be to-go, per order of the Durham Health Department.

We are currently working on a better parking situation.  Please follow the signs for the best direction to parking.  There are several areas to park at the market.

Thank you all for the support, understanding and cooperation during these difficult times. We look forward to seeing all of you at the market, even behind a face covering.

Jon
