 CO-ED VOLLEYBALL

Co-Ed Volleyball is open to all men and women living in Durham and Middlefield.  Adult must be out of high school.  Games will be played on Monday evenings at Strong School.  The time will be 6:30 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.  Available Dates:  September 14, 28.  October 5, 19, 26.  November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.  Co-Ed (advanced) Volleyball will meet at Coginchaug High school on Wednesday September 16, 23, 30. October 7, 14, 21, 28. November 4, 18.  From 6:30 to 9:00pm SHARP.  Registration will be on the first night that you attend.  Spring dates to be announced at a later date.

 CHILDREN'S KARATE CLASS

Children from grades K-8 will meet at Brewster School on Tuesday afternoons during the school year.  The time: will be 3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.  Starts Tuesday September 15th.  Registration is on the first day of class.  You may register at anytime.  Instructor Mike Moan (347-2155).  Classes run September - June

FEE for a 10 week session is $60.00.

 SHOSHIN RYU

Class will be held at Korn School starting September 14th.  Classes are held Monday and Thursday evenings.  Time: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. for grades (2-7).  Adult class time:  7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  8 class sessions.  Instructor Toby Bates (349-3075)  Class is on going.

 YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAMS

For children living in Durham and Middlefield grades K - 8. Basketball programs are held on Saturday mornings starting December 5th, and will meet during December, January, February, and will end March 6th. Registration forms for the program are available at the Durham Town Hall. Registration will be held Wednesday October 7th 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday October 10th 9:00-11:00am at the Durham Town Hall. All grades play Saturday mornings at their teams scheduled time and place. Grades 3-8 boys and girls have 1 practice during the week. The goal of the program is to learn the fundamentals of the game and have fun.      A  Late fee of $25.00 after November 7th 2009.        REGISTRATION FORM

MEN'S OPEN GYM BASKETBALL 

This program welcomes all adults living in Durham and Middlefield to come on a "drop in Basis" and have some fun while getting great exercise.  The program will meet at Strong School Tuesday and Thursday evenings form 7:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.  October 6, 8, 13, 15.  November 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 20, 24, 29.  December 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17.    Adults must be out of high school to play.  I. D. required.

 MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE

This league is open to adults living in Durham and Middlefield.  Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at scheduled times.  (6:15, 7:15, 8:15).  Games are played at Strong School starting in January.  Registration will be on open gym nights.  December 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17.  at Strong School.  League play will begin January 7th.   

 WOMEN'S OPEN GYM BASKETBALL

All Durham and Middlefield women are invited to play ball.  Women must be out of high school to play.  Bring a friend and a basketball to Strong School on Monday evenings, in December, January, February, and March.  No Fee.  Time: 8:00pm-9:30pm

ADULT EVENING EXERCISE

 Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.  Classes will be held at Brewster School and will start September 15th.  Bring hand weights (3lbs or 5lbs), a mat, towel & water.  Classes will be held year round.  You may join in at any time!  Instructor Sue Schade (349-1518).  Bring a friend.  Registration on the first day that you attend the class.

FEE: 50.00 FOR A SIX WEEK SESSION

 CHILDREN' FUN AND FITNESS

  This is a program for girls and boys to get together to play games, learn basic tumbling, and exercise on the floor mats.  The program meets at Brewster School on Saturday mornings:  March 13, 20, 27.  April 10, 17 24.  May 1, 8.  Registration forms are available at the Durham Town Hall or on line. 

 9:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. class for 1 & 2 year olds

 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. class for 3 & 4 year olds

 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. class for 5 & 6 year olds

 

 FEE $ 50.00

 HALLOWEEN PARADE, PARTY, AND PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST
 

 SATURDAY OCTOBER 31st

 TIME: 11:00 A.M.

 PLACE:  BREWSTER SCHOOL

A Halloween costume parade party and pumpkin decoration contest will be held at Brewster School on Saturday October 31st at 11:00 a.m.  Ribbons will be given for various costume categories.  Best of show will receive a Halloween Parade 2009 trophy.  Bring your best decorated pumpkin and receive a ribbon.  Come and join all the other ghost and goblins of Durham.  Refreshments will be served to all.  All Welcome!   A moon bounce and decorating halloween cookies will be some of the fun activities.  NO FEE
