Duties
:

As set forth in Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 99

Appointing Authority: Board of Selectmen at a duly warned and held meeting on March 13, 2006
Mission Statement/Charge Mission Statement: Revise and update Town Charter with the objective to: 1- Institute practicability/workability 2- Improve clarity of processes 3 - Enhance transparency of government
Charge: Revise and update Durham Town Charter to produce a perfect, impartial, and ethically-sound legislative tool that institutes practicability, clarity of processes, and transparency of government in a manner that follows prescribed Connecticut General Statutes and fully considers recommendations (including timelines and Charter Section review) by the Board of Selectmen.
Term of Office: The Commission shall terminate upon acceptance or rejection of its final report by the appointing authority
Constitution of Board/Quorum: Nine Members
History: The last Charter Revsion occured in 1981
